Broken

busted, collapsed, cracked, crippled, crumbled, crushed, damaged, defective, demolished, fractured, fragmented, injured, mangled, mutilated, ruptured, severed, shattered, smashed, burst, disintegrated, hurt, pulverized, rent, riven, separated, shivered, shredded, slivered, split, fragmentary, in pieces

while we (brendan )might be dealing with something as small as a broken finger, I have others in my life broken because of the sin in this world.  just like the sin of Adam that still affects us today so do the sins of those in our lives ripple like a wave that catch all of those around in different ways.

Psalm 147 3-5
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.

"Yet this is call to mind and therefore I have hope: the steadfast love of The Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.  The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I will hope in him."  LaHmentations 3:21-24

Tomorrow...

tomorrow our #4 will be 4.  let me make this more clear, my YOUNGEST child will be 4!  in what felt like just a blink i have four kids who buckle and unbuckle themselves in the car, go to the bathroom unassisted, sleep through the night, feed themselves, and twice a week they are all in school.  (which means I am alone two days a week). this is life changing when you have 4 kids in 5.5 years.
as a result of added time in my schedule we got a DOG, i started exercising again, (after a 9 year hiatus) and i see a lot of movies.

he's cute but has a lot of issues, hence the cone.  basically, the dog has more anxiety than me which is a lot.  his name is jefferson.

i'm feeling more and more the need to put down what is in my head.  (dare i say it, i like to blog.)  stay tuned for a giveaway next week...  it's time to get out my sewing machine again.  and i'm thinking about doing a series about corners in my home, staying organized, and more funny stories of parenting imperfectly.  any more ideas?

Hope spoken

so I went to a conference this weekend and thought about my blog for the first time in a long, long time.  and I came and looked at it and immediately thought it doesn't even look like me.  isn't it funny how our tastes change, now I like white, all white.  You should see my house, I can't even handle a stray cup on my counters I went everything clean and simple...

so maybe I'll start blogging more or maybe not.  I'm thinking about it...

Speed-bumps

Everyday I drive over six speed-bumps leaving the apartment and six speed-bumps when I return home. I will be completely honest, I am so tired of the speed-bumps. I can't wait to move.

And then I got to thinking... About life's speed-bumps since we moved. It isn't easy but do I really want easy and is it really that hard.
